The Southwest Pool & Spa Show is proud to honor the legacy of Thom Blumenkamp, a dedicated board member and staunch advocate for education in the pool industry. In his memory, we are launching the Thom Blumenkamp Memorial Scholarship, which will provide financial support to pool builders and service professionals attending the show.
The scholarship, starting in 2026, will offer $10,000 in funding, covering certification courses, hotel accommodations, and some travel reimbursements to ensure greater access to educational opportunities within the industry. Thom’s commitment to education will live on through this scholarship in conjunction with industry educational organizations supporting the continued growth of the pool industry.
The scholarship will be able to cover the following categories:
- • Certification Courses to enhance professional development.
• Hotel Accommodations to support participation in the show.
• Partial Travel Reimbursement for selected recipients to ease the burden of attending.
